Dad has no more pain now, no more frustrations. He is at peace.

As of 9am this morning Dad took his last breaths. Bruce and Cindy stayed up with him all night communicating with Hospice to give him the pain medicine he needed to make him comfortable. He was very restful and at ease when he took his last breaths. Cindy woke up Mom and me to hold his hands. As we all held hands with him he finally let go.

We are thankful to have him here in his own home, with all his family around the past few days. He would occasionally respond and even make smiles.

Mom is doing ok. Lots and lots of people have been coming by the house to visit keeping her very occupied. I will post the arrangements after we speak with Bruce Bowden tomorrow at noon.

Thank you all for reading and keeping up with my Dad's story. His was one of incredible strength, determination, and courage.

We have appreciated all the visitors lately

I have not written much because I wanted to stay positive and didn't have much positive to write about.

The main goal now is to keep Dad as pain free as possible, which is double edged because it keeps him so groggy.

We have enjoyed seeing Scott and Stacy, with Skye and Sawyer- Cindy and Bruce flying in Dad's sister Eva, her son Ed, and her twin sister's son Terry - Then just yesterday Lisa and Lee with Callie and Sawyer drive down.

So many neighbors have dropped by and brought in some sunshine.

I'l update again more later. This is just so fast.

The pain killer patch is doing its job

Dad is much more alert now and takes much less of the other painkiller when he needs it so he isn't so groggy .

Drew Wilson stopped by and watched a movie with him
And Cindy flew in today. It's nice to have activity :)

Dads energy is very low and he is now in pain

We need a lot of prayers for strength, courage, and peace for our family to get through all of this.
Dad still welcomes phone calls and visits as far as I know.

Mom also welcomes visits and enjoys time to talk about "regular" stuff.

Dad is taking a two week rest

He will try to regain energy and strength, then decide if he wants to go through more chemo.

The pet scan shows growth.

Today was hard.
