They put it back on in the night, but it was off around midnight. I asked him about it, and with a grin said "It fell off". Right Dad ;) I left it off, figuring if it s a problem the nurse would come back in to replace it.
The other Dad thing was yesterday with respiratory therapy, the guy came to do five minutes of therapy, Dad was asking for breaks, telling stories, then finally said "lets not do it and say we did". haha That's my Dad.
This is a blog to keep everyone informed on Dad's Deep Brain Stimulation Surgery in August 2011, and also dealing with malignant stomach endocarcinoma treatment diagnosed November 2011. Brain Surgery Stage 1, 2a, 2b, 3, & 4. Soon the stimulator will be programmed (increased) every three days again with a hand held device. Dad got lots of sleep last night, comparativly
The beginning of the night was peaceful and calm. Respiratory therapy left him alone and let him sleep. Kind of a double edged sword, since now he is all raspy again and worn out from trying to cough up mucus since 2am. I raise the bed up then down then up then down trying to help him get the mucus up.
He is so very ready for the physical therapy to come by and work with him. He just wants to get UP UP UP! That's my dad :)
