We were all prepared for this to be so difficult that he would stay a long time maybe even all night. But, as soon as Mom walked into recovery, the Dr was there and he said " Ok you can go get his clothes now, he is ready to go home ". Amazing! He is in a good bit of pain from the forigen material under his skin, but otherwise he is in good shape.
It is a huge relief for this last surgery to be OVER! YAY

Dad is now in recovery doing well
The stimulation device is in. The device team came to speak with us, show us the device dad will use to control it at a later date. They said to call it a " pacemaker for the brain" and especially at airports to go through the pacemaker or medical device line and to call it that because that is a more easily understood term than deep brain stimulator.
