Dad began chemotherapy on Monday and all was good. He fot a platin ( forgot which type) and then hooked up to. Pump with 5fv and set home. Then wednesday began having severe pain at the port site. Drs have no answers, they are all baffled. They did a venous Doppler, ct scan and. Not sure what else. The 5fv was stopped and now his port is scheduled to be removed on Thursday. Dr quin will try to install a port on his arm. Dad has been in severe pain with pain meds around the clock for days. Yesterday began coughing up dark stuff. Now he is on an antibiotic and will see the oncologist Monday. Today, he said he thinks he is finally beginning to feel a little better, attributing it to the antibiotics. We are on the way there now and he might venture down to the pavilion for a bit to socialize at the memorial day party. This has been a rough week for him. I hope he is able to get out for a bit this evening.
