Dad saw a cardiologist at Vanderbilt and that Dr said his heart was cleared to go through the surgery. The endoscopic ultrasound showed the tumor was reduced by the chemotherapy. The surgeon appointment to find out what the next step is will be Jan 3. His white blood cell count is to low today to begin Chemotherapy, plus the drug of choice for him is now affected by the shortages in chemotherapy drugs. He is scheduled to begin chemotherapy on Tuesday and we will hope Cisplatin will be available by then.
