Lots of activity around the Shupe household.

The chemotherapy may make him tired but isn't keeping him down for too long. This past week Curtis and Amanda came down to visit and we celebrated another Christmas. Curtis took dad out to the lake to fly some remote control planes, and one that flies in the house. Then the day they drove home Bruce flew in and has been watching movies, fishing, and even shooting critters! Yes, When they got ready to go fishing Dad picks up a shotgun " just in case'. Sure enough they see the elusive beaver, and they get him! Later in the day we go up to visit and some of the neighbors stopped by to see the critter. I haven't seen Dad this upbeat in many weeks. He is such a people person and being confined like he has been, has been difficult. I just hope we don't wear him out too much! Six more days until the third round of chemotherapy.

Soon, Dads nephew, Ed Smith, will be undergoing back surgery at Duke. He needs all our prayers that this surgery will be a success and he recovers quickly! Hopefully Dad and Ed and Tyler all will be recovered enough to have a spring visit here for Easter like we usually do. We've missed Tyler, Molly Lewie and Matthew since his diagnosis last spring with Hodgkin's lymphoma. We are all so happy that he is back at Clemson now and doing well after his lengthy chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
