The first posting

This is my initial test of the blog I will use to update everyone on Dad's deep brain stimulation Surgery coming up in August.

  1. This is a video of a young boy that was able to have his life changed by deep brain stimulation surgery. Though not a Parkinson's sufferer, he has amazing success, and Dr Neimat ( Dad's dr) is in the video. http://youtu.be/aT-sbIDr3XI

  3. The boy in the video has Dystonia, a neurological movement disorder similar to Dyskinesia. Dyskinesia is the rhythmic involuntary movement that is usually a side effect of Parkinson’s medication. Michael J Fox has pronounced Dyskinesia, caused by his medication.

    Dystonia is not a side effect of medication. Dystonia is an involuntary movement with twisting of abnormal postures; usually painful to some degree.

    You can get dystonia symptoms in Parkinson's as well. You can get Parkinson's symptoms in dystonia. They are somehow linked at times.
