Cindy is staying with him tonight. He is beginning to talk more and laugh at some stories. His nurse Brian is a perfect nurse for him tonight. He makes jokes and Dad likes that. The ICU delirium is finally going away, slowly. So far his WBC is still increasing which is not a good sign, but he has no fever and almost every tube is out of him. Just the gastric tube and the chest tube are still in place tonight. He stood up today with help. The Respiratory therapist gave him a breath measuring device and Dad keeps wanting to use it over and over. He may just sleep with in his hand tonight!
Today was a rough day, but so very happy it has ended in a positive way.
