The nurse tested and found low levels of some things last night that be causing his wacky heart rate overnight and his excessive anxiety. Mom and I came back to the hospital early this morning to help him calm down with Mom's presence. He is raspy and needing to be more aware in order to get up and get that mucus coughed up. Nurse Brian has been such a good nurse for him tonight. We have been lucky with getting such good nurses almost every night. I know Cindy is worn out and I hope she will go back to the Hope Lodge to sleep soon.
This yoyo kind of thing is exhausting so say the least. If we can only get him to stabilize and cough....but his body is just to overdone. It's such a balancing act. The thorasic surgeon Cindy once called the "Crabby Dr" has been one of the most engaged and most present. Crabby people are good hearted too, sometimes more so than some of the others.
